Nutri-Scan uses an Optical Character Recognition engine (OCR) that reads the hand written characters from the application and converts them to digital text. All USDA and Federal Regulation Rules are applied by the software. If a rule is not met, the application is held in Quality Assurance until all required rules are met. Once met, application information is exported to a text file, ready for import into your Free and Reduced System.
